About the event
Hi! I’m Aoife Caldicott, a teacher by day and a home cook by night. My kitchen is where I unwind, experiment, and lose myself in the alchemy of spices—whether it’s toasting cumin for a curry or figuring out how much garlic is too much garlic (spoiler: there’s no such thing).
I grew up fascinated by flavours, from my family’s Dublin Coddle to the global dishes I discovered through travel, cookbooks, and binging on cooking shows. Over the years, I’ve learned that the best meals don’t need fancy techniques or a mountain of ingredients—just a few good spices, a trusty pot, and a dash of curiosity.
In this six-week culinary adventure, we’ll explore the vibrant tastes and techniques of kitchens around the world. Each week, we’ll dive into a different cuisine, celebrating its unique character while keeping things approachable, flavoursome, and fun.
